War and your future

The sad images coming from Ukraine touch us all deeply. This unprovoked attack by a ruthless regime reminds us how fragile the world can be. No one knows what will come next and our emotions can lead us to make poor decisions in the wake of uncertainty. Take a deep breath. Now let it out. Do it again. Keep up with the news but don't let it lead you to make rash decisions. If you feel more comfortable keeping funds that you might otherwise invest on the sidelines there's nothing wrong with that. Each of us must assess our own risk tolerance. But history tells us that periods like this pass - maybe not tomorrow and maybe not in the coming months. But strategies that work for the long haul shouldn't change precisely because they are for the long haul. In the meantime, hug your friends and family, pray for the Ukrainian people and don't lose perspective on the truly important things in life.
