Beer, ma'am?
I like a good beer, be it a robust Belgian ale, a hoppy craft IPA or a nice German pilsner on a summer day. Sorry, not a snob but neither am I a Bud guy and I'd rather drink water than a light beer. That's just me.
But the University of Gothenburg in Sweden has just released a report indicating that women who drink one or two beers each week had a 30% lower risk for heart attack than those who didn't drink beer or had beer more often. Why? It's believed that this amount of beer reduced blood fats (triglycerides) that can increase the risk of heart attacks.
